Stand up was a public education support initiative sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. The ultimate goal of the campaign was to generate awareness about the lack of adequate funding for public schools, and also garner support for teachers and under-resourced schools throughout the United States.

The campaign was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show several times and was heralded as a huge win for the public education community.
